I composed a short promotional piece of music to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Balcarras School

Selves is a coming-of-age comedy-drama set in an idyllic yet isolating English village, where each episode retells events from a different character’s perspective. Through Mimi and those around her, it explores love, friendship, and identity, revealing the hidden struggles and connections that shape who we become.

A young woman begins dating a charming literature graduate, but as their bond deepens, she's haunted by a doppelganger only she can see, forcing her to balance her relationship with her new love.

OFFLINE follows five friends who unplug from digital life for a weekend, only to be confronted by a mysterious TV broadcast that seems to watch them back, unraveling their sense of reality. It explores not the internet itself, but the psychological impact it has left behind when the noise finally disappears.

When a headstrong student gets trapped in a school bathroom with his racist bully, he must force a confession before they're found, or his final chance at justice will be lost.

James was a pleasure to work with, ever since myself and the director (Farrel Ewanena) of ‘Say It’ reached out James always met us with a high volume of professionalism.

His biggest strength was his cooperation and communication skills with my crew, he met the deadlines we assigned and listened to constructive feedback for the development of the score.

The score was a massive praise amongst anonymous peers and lecturers during a screening. Overall James was a joy to work with and his ability to compose music is certainly presented well throughout our short film.

From our very first conversation, James brought not only a clear passion for the project but also a deep understanding of the emotional and narrative layers we were trying to explore. Despite this being our first time working together, it never felt like it, the process flowed like we’d been part of the same creative unit for years.

James was incredibly communicative throughout, sending constant updates and ideas, always open to feedback, and just as eager to push the work forward as I was. There was a real back-and-forth that made the entire process feel dynamic and alive. Would work again on many more projects in the future.
